Our Impact

Our property taxes in Newport Coast are divided evenly among NMUSD schools, based on the number of students in each school. Funds are allocated to public schools by Federal Grant's designed for areas of high poverty through Title One funding. NCE does not qualify to recieve any Title One funding.

NCE School Foundation bridges the gap not provided by the state to provide our students with an exceptional primary school education. Through your generous donations last year, we were able to provide the following:

Additional Teachers and accredited aides

This year NCESF continues to provide funding for teachers on academic assignment allowing for smaller class sizes and personalized attention for all of our student.

art programs

NCE is designated as a California Exemplary Arts School. The Foundation invests and helps develop NCE's extraordinary art programs by funding the purchase of new instruments, audio equipment, and technology for our music teachers and students.

Funding from Foundation also provides technology for innovative instruction and tools for advanced learning. A brand new state-of-the-art technology lab will be added this year.

on-site crossing guard

The district only provides a limited number of crossing guards. With our school being located in a heavy traffic area, it is necessary to have an additional crossing guard. The funds from NCESF provides this for our school.
